Post Labor Day Fun
Now that my first fall is unofficially upon us (and I learned the hard way about the not-wearing-white rule), there have been lots of awesome goings on around the home front. First and foremost, I am finding that I can make all kinds of curious and interesting sounds. Soon I hope to be able to share some of them with you, but for now we shall stay with tried-and-true pictures. Let's roll.
This is my cover shot. I'm going out for baby of the year:
Like anyone else, though, I do have some things to work on. Recently I've pioneered a new exercise technique to combat those baby fat rolls. I call it "the grab". Here's a demonstration:
Yep, you crunch those abs and grab your feet. It's extreme. I prefer to use the comfort of the changing table, but you can use any surface you like. When you show it to your friends be sure to give me props.
Nana came over the other day and we did a little photo shoot. It was good times. Here are some of my poses:

Sassy Disinterest:
Sudden Surprise:
Three-Quarter Smile:
All that work needs to be balanced with some play time, so Daddy and I did some flying:
I may have a future in aeronautics.
And I would be remorse if I didn't share with you the amazement that came with this new bouncy seat thingy. I don't know what to call it, but man was it fun!
Catch you next time!

New Tricks
So now that I've passed the three month mark, I figure it's time to step up to the plate and learn some new tricks. The best place to start, I figure, is where my last post started--my hair. With all the time I spend laying on my back, quite a little case of "baby baldness" is creeping in back there. The solution? Sitting up!
Okay, so I needed a little help from the Bumbo, but a girl's got to start somewhere.
I've also taken to lifting up my head. It's lots of work, but totally worth it to be able to see over stuff. It's totally changed tummy time, which I have loathed for quite some time. Now at least it's slightly less bothersome.
And while this isn't really a "trick" per se, I have been making my way around town, particularly to check in on my favorite ball club. I took mom and dad along.

Busy Month
When I last posted, I was only six or seven weeks old. Now I'm a robust eleven weeks. It's been very busy and very fun since then. I had a nice long visit from my Great Grandma (she wants to be called "g-nanna"), and we moved into a new house. Needless to say, I've been a mover and a shaker. Here are some pics from my latest exploits. --McKinley
When at my Grandma Webb's, I like to ride the laundry train.

But I wasn't just there to play around; I'm quite the folder.
Like I said, my G-Nanna was in town from Philidelphia. Man, did we have a good time. We first met at an inopportune time for me (I was pretty cranky), and G-Nanna thought I might have some sort of grudge against her. But a new diaper and a little down time, and I got in some really good time with her. It was so good to meet her and be loved by her.
Not to make both my grandmas feel left out, I had to spend some time with them, too.
In the middle of all that I had my two month check up. I'm healthy as can be. Mom's feeding me well; it's going mostly to my cheeks and thighs. I past the dozen pound mark--plenty of room to grow.
That's the happenings for now, but I'll hit you up with some more of my exploits soon.

Vacation (pt. deux)
I loved vacation so much, I made faces like this all the time:

It would have been nice if mom and dad let me roam a little more. How is a girl supposed to maintain her tan under an umbrella?
Mom hooked me up with a sling for a little while, which was a great way to enjoy a little jaunt up the dunes overlooking Lake Michigan.
The best part of vaca might have been the morning paper, followed by naps.

Vacation (pt. 1)
So for the past week or so I've been on my first vacation. Mom and Dad took me to Michigan to enjoy the beach, some great weather, and some relaxation. Here are some pics, along with some of my commentary. Thanks! --McKinley
I'd never been in the car for an extended period, but we loaded up, headed out, and I did a great job traveling. It might be one of my new hobbies.
While I'm still getting acquainted to most everything, I took to the beach pretty well. With my awesome complexion, mom kept me all lathered up with baby 55+ sunblock. Also, I found my tongue.
As if the SPF a billion weren't enough, I doubled it up by sporting this swell beach cap.
The down time on the beach gave me plenty of time to ponder and muse about a myriad of issues...
...and plenty of time to hang with Mommy.
But after hitting the waves and the rays, I was pretty well wiped out. Good thing they sprung for the king, because when I kick it, I need my space.
